We are part of the Waterton Parliament. We have 6 meetings across the year and meet with other children from the School Council across our Academies.

Our sewing week for the Australia bush fires…

Our School Council decided that they wanted to do something  worthwhile in support of the animals that have been affected by the horrendous bush fires in Australia. They, along with a few other volunteers, have given up their playtimes and lunchtimes for a whole week to sew some beautiful koala mittens. We will be sending these off to Australia in the hope that it will provide some comfort to these poor, vulnerable animals.
It makes me so proud to lead the School Council and be surrounded by such kind and caring children. It becomes even more of a privilege when the children have such wonderful ideas, to not just only support their local community, but to want to try and make a difference to the wider world. They are all such amazing ambassadors to the school.

Children in Need 2019

We had a fantastic day at school raising money for an amazing charity. We all came dressed in our pj’s and onesie’s. The School Council organised an incredible bun stall. Many thanks for all of the wonderful donations. In total we raised a huge £478.81! Well done everyone!

School Lunch Tasting Session

We had a brilliant afternoon tasting some delicious food that will be going onto the new school lunch menu shortly. We all loved what we tasted and enjoyed talking to the cook about what we liked and what we would change. He listened to our ideas and said that he will consider them when putting together the ingredients for the new menu.

We are looking forward to inviting our Parents/Carers into school soon as they too will have the opportunity of tasting the food and saying what they like and dislike.

Keep checking this page for pictures of this session.

A huge well done to our wonderful School Council. They were wonderful ambassadors of the school and loved serving our parents at the lunch tasting session. We had some valuable feedback from our parents about what they liked and what the did not like.
